Call to Action... 

Tell your Legislators you're Thankful for their public service!

As we gather this week with family and friends to give thanks for the people and things that mean the most to us, you are encouraged to take a moment to congratulate your newly elected or re-elected officials and thank them for dedicating their time and talents to serve the common good.  You are also encouraged to send a thank you note to those candidates who offered their lives to public service and were not elected on November 4.

What you can do:

Send your State Representative and State Senator a short note.  Introduce yourself (perhaps as a person of faith concerned about public policy for the common good); thank them for their public service; and tell them you look forward to relating to them during the 2009-2010 Legislative Session. 

You can find your State officials’ addresses by entering your zip code in the “Find Your Elected Officials” box in the lower left-hand corner of the LAMPa website (www.lamp.org).  Be sure to click on the “state” tab!
