Action Alert!

Health Care Reform

Urgent! Last chance to act before Senate session ends.

What You Can Do:

CALL your State Senator immediately by 5:00 P.M. Friday, October 3,  and ask him/her to support affordable health insurance for the uninsured You can find your State Senator’s phone number by entering your zip code in the “Find Your Elected Officials” box in the lower left-hand corner of the LAMPa website (www.lamp.org).  Be sure to click on the “state” tab!

Act now!  The Senate only has three session days left!

Background: (For more information, see the Health Care Reform Issue Brief on the LAMPa website)

Our health care system is the most expensive in the world.  Yet as a system, it fails to come close to providing the best health care in the world.  Despite our best efforts, there are still approximately 800,000 uninsured Pennsylvanians!

Thank you for all your letters and e-mails!  Now it’s time to Call your State Senator to remind him/her that access to affordable health insurance must be expanded, including coverage for prescription drugs!  Negotiations between House Democrats, Senate Republicans, and the Governor’s Office are going on right now, but time will run out on Friday, Oct. 3rd

The Senate must hear from you that their inability to come up with a compromise is unacceptable!

***Please file a post-advocacy report with the LAMPa office by mail, telephone (717) 545-3500, or email (lampa@lamp.org) with the highlights/responses of your advocacy efforts.***
