Support a Robust Advocacy Ministry

 

     The advocacy provided by the Lutheran Church and its members depends upon the participation of many persons. While professional LAMPa staff will engage governmental officials directly and through coalitions, your voice is also needed. You are invited to join ACTIONET. Members receive information periodically on current issues along with suggestions for advocacy. These are sent by mail when an action does not demand immediate attention. A sub-set of individuals, who have provided their

e-mail addresses, receive messages electronically when urgency is demanded. Sign up for ACTIONET with the form below, or e-mail your contact information to g-wilson1@lamp.org.

     In order to multiply our advocacy efforts, you are also invited to contact LAMPa when:

1. Your congregation needs information and suggestions on how to advocate effectively on a current issue.

2. Your congregation wishes a speaker to provide motivation for advocacy or an update on current issues

3. You wish to become involved in an issue you are passionate about and would like basic information on that issue, to know persons and organizations that are working on the issue, or desire to volunteer for direct advocacy.

4. You or your congregation would like professional LAMPa staff give direct advocacy on a topic. Advocacy will be non-partisan and in accord with ELCA social statements.
